DevOps Engineer Generative AI

We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer with a focus on Generative AI to join our fast-paced innovative team developing a growing portfolio of Generative AI products and services for enterprise search, information summarization, knowledge discovery and more to come, in close collaboration with customers, researchers and Innovation teams across the Bosch Group. As DevOps Engineer, you will play a crucial role in building, releasing and operating scalable and trustworthy AI solutions and products that leverage Generative AI to solve business problems in ethical, secure and compliant way. You will be responsible for scaling the hosting of large language models, ensuring stable operations and customer support.

Your contribution to something big:

• Implement and maintain scalable hosting solutions for large language models in the field of Generative AI
• Apply DevOps methodologies to streamline AI development and AI deployment processes
• Utilize Infrastructure-as-code approaches (e.g., Terraform, Ansible) to automate deployment and management tasks
• Implement public cloud technologies (e.g., Azure DevOps pipelines) to support Generative AI applications
• Develop software solutions using major programming languages (e.g., Python)
• Employ containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, OpenShift, Kubernetes) for scalable deployments
• Ensure stable operations and customer support for Generative AI applications
• Collaborate with Solution Architects, Data Scientists, Data Engineers and Software Engineers, Product Owners, researchers and business stakeholders on the cross-functional team and across teams to understand business needs, derive technical requirements and ensure stable operations and scalable hosting of AI solutions and services to best serve the needs of our customers.

Qualifications

What distinguishes you:

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, cloud technologies, containerization, and software development
• Deep understanding and hands-on experience of AI deployment, MLOps, and modern IT service deployment tools
• Strong understanding of hosting and scaling large language models
• Proficiency in Infrastructure-as-code approaches and public cloud technologies
• Knowledge of hosting and operating vector databases and large data sets
• Hands-on experience in software development in at least one major programming language (e.g. Python).
• Excellent problem solving, analytical skills and critical thinking
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts in simple language
• Highly motivated and collaborative, with a track record of working efficiently across functions and levels and delivering results in complex settings at fast-paced Agile environments
• University degree or comparable qualification in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering or relevant field
• Fluent in English (spoken and written), German is a plus
